SṈIDȻEȽ Resiliency Project 

SeaChange Marine Conservation Society

We are looking for W̱SÁNEĆ community members to participate in the restoration and revitalization of SṈIDȻEȽ, Place of the Blue Grouse (Tod Inlet, Gowlland Tod Provincial Park). These positions are meant to foster the long term vision of WSÁṈEĆ stewardship of this special place. Training will be provided!

Duties will include:

-Restoration activities: invasive plant removal, native plant propagation, planting native species, research into relevant restoration strategies

-Interpretation: development of W̱ SÁNEĆ signage throughout SṈIDȻEȽ, leading plant walks and cultural tours, media communications

-Program support: assisting in the restoration activities for various school and community programs which visit SṈIDȻEȽ

*Applicants must be physically able to work up to five hours outdoors in all weather conditions, have basic computer literacy, and work well in a cooperative team environment.

Wage: $20/hr, 7.5 hrs/week (30 hrs/month)

Hours will be concentrated on Thursdays and Saturdays with room for flexibility. Hours may increase slightly during autumn, spring and summer and decrease slightly over December and January.
