ImageOur April 12, 2014 volunteer day was a great opportunity to combine efforts with Nick Claxton and his Ethnoecology class from the Aboriginal Education Department at UVic. Most of the students were WSANEC knowledge keepers in their own right and there was an amazing sharing of stories and traditional knowledge during the restoration work. Additionally students shared knowledge on particular plants that used to grow at SNIDCEL and remain an important part of WSANEC culture, such as Pacific crabapple. HISWKE SIAM to all participants in this special day!
