Hello Friends!

We are looking for volunteers to help out with the rowing dinghies activity at the Tod Inlet EcoRowing program. This is an outdoor environmental education program with Ethnobotany, Marine, and Boating components. The boating activity for elementary classes involves children in groups of two or three operating a very safe and stable dinghy. The students are taught safety protocols such as wearing life jackets and how to row by an instructor. They then launch the boats with an adult volunteer on board. Together they row up Tod Inlet to Tod Creek where they beach the boats and walk a short distance to a freshwater pool where they fill their water containers for the water gun fight on the way back!

If you can help out, please contact: Nikki Wright: seachange@shaw.ca

Thanks!
